The Kosovo Campaign Medal is a military award of the US Armed Forces , on instruction from Bill Clinton was introduced on 3 May 2000th The award is given to soldiers who have served in Kosovo since March 24, 1999 until today .

The Order of Merit is awarded to members of the US Armed Forces who have participated in subsequent operations for 30 consecutive days or more than 60 days.

The award was also given to the participants in the following task forces .

  • Task Force Hawk: April 5, 1999 to June 24, 1999
  • Task Force Saber: March 31, 1999 to July 8, 1999
  • Task Force Hunter: April 1, 1999 to November 1, 1999
  • Task Force Falcon: June 11, 1999 pending the completion of Operation Joint Guardian

The winners of the Kosovo Campaign Medal can also be awarded the NATO medal for the NATO-led foreign mission in Kosovo ( KFOR ).
