Konstantinos Elvis Rodrigues (born August 12, 1979 in Rüsselsheim am Main ) is a former German soccer player . His father is from Portugal , his mother from India .

Career

Rodrigues started playing football at an early age, he went through the youth leagues at his hometown club Eintracht Rüsselsheim before he moved to the U13 of Eintracht Frankfurt .

Rodrigues made the leap into the men's area at the Upper Franconian club SC Weismain , who played in the Regionalliga Süd at the time . However, Kosta Rodrigues only stayed in Weismain for one year. For the 1999/2000 season he joined Eintracht Braunschweig in the Regionalliga Nord .

After Eintracht Braunschweig's promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga , Rodrigues moved to Hannover 96 in 2002 , but was loaned from there directly to 1. FC Saarbrücken for two years . From there he came back to Braunschweiger Eintracht in January 2004.

Kosta Rodrigues had a contract with Eintracht Braunschweig until June 30, 2009, which was not extended. From the second half of the 2009/10 season, the Braunschweig league competitor Wuppertaler SV Borussia Rodrigues signed.

From the start of the second half of the 2010/11 season to the end of the 2011/12 season, Kosta Rodrigues played for 1. FC Magdeburg in the Regionalliga Nord. From 2012 to 2014 he was active at SSV Kästorf in the Braunschweig regional league. Rodrigues has been a trainer at the Eintracht Braunschweig youth training center since 2014. There he coached the U-12 and U-16 teams, among other things, and was appointed head of the Eintracht Frankfurt football school in 2017 after having acquired the A license in the meantime. In August 2017 he was introduced to Kai Olzem as assistant coach of the first team of the Braunschweig Free Gymnastics Association . With the departure of Olzem in February 2019, the coaching team Olzem-Rodrigues was dissolved and Rodrigues was appointed as the sole coach of the club's first men's team.
