Kostas Drygianakis

Kostas Drygianakis ( Greek Κώστας Δρυγιανάκης, Κωστής Δρυγιανάκης Costís Dryganákis ; * 1965 in Volos ) is a Greek composer , musician and music producer .

Life

Drygianakis studied physics and social anthropology at the University of Thessaloniki . After playing keyboards in a group called Egopigo as a teenager , his professional musical career began in 1984 with the band Optical Music (with Yiannis Argyropoulos , Christos Kaltis , Kostas Pandopoulos and Alexis Karavergos ), which was active with interruptions until 1998. She worked with elements of free improvisation and with electroacoustic experiments. With the group, two albums were created ( Tomos 1 , 1987 and Tomos 2 , 1994).

He also performed with Ross Daly & Djamchid Chemirani and worked in the Graffiti electronic studio in Laris with Stathis Theocharakis ; he also composed music for theater productions and documentaries. After 1998, Drygianakis pursued a solo career and released a number of solo albums, including Post-Optical Landscapes . After 2000 he took part in improvisation sessions as an interpreter of electronic music and concrete music . In 2002 he contributed the electronic music to Theocharakis' album Wish You a Nice Resurrection .
