Kota (also Ikota, Ikuta and Kotu) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 43,460 people in Gabon and the Republic of the Congo (2000 census).

It is widespread in Gabon in the province of Ogooué-Ivindo with around 34,400 speakers and in the Republic of the Congo in the regions of Cuvette and Sangha with around 9060 speakers.

Kota is written in the Latin script .

Kota is a northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Kele group , which is classified as Guthrie Zone B20. Kota has several dialects.
