Kozijavkin method

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kozijavkin method for rehabilitation of people with restricted mobility was developed by the Ukrainian neurologist and orthopedic surgeon Volodymyr Kosjawkin (Володимир Козявкін, born June 9, 1947), called Kozijavkin . The Kozijavkin Method is also known as the Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation System (SINR).

Description of the Kozijavkin method

This therapy is based on the fact that there are blockages in the patient's spine . These blockages are released through a biomechanical correction of the spine. This allows the brain's signals to reach the muscles better. This enables people with restricted mobility to learn new movements.

In order to simplify and accelerate this learning, in addition to biomechanical correction of the spine, massages , vibromassages, a special form of physiotherapy , mobilization of the joints , reflex therapy, mechanotherapy, treadmill training and rhythmic music therapy are carried out during therapy according to the SINR . The spiral correction suit is also used to specifically learn correct movements and to correct incorrect movements.

Therapy lasts 2 weeks. On the first day, a new diagnosis (thorough medical examination) is carried out. On 12 treatment days, a biomechanical correction of the spine and, depending on the patient's state of health, therapy for another 3–4 hours take place. Each patient receives a therapy program specially tailored to them.
