Coronation of Mary in Rimou

The Coronation Window in the Notre-Dame Catholic Church in Rimou , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was created in 1934. The stained glass window was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France in 1995 as Monument historique .

Window No. 6 was donated by the Noël family of carpenters from Quincampoix and created by Atelier Rault (signature on the right under the clouds). The coronation of Mary is shown in the middle, Jesus is shown on the left and God the Father on the right . Above it, the Holy Spirit is represented symbolically in the form of a dove. The whole representation is embedded in a Gothic or fantasy architecture with columns on the right and left.

The lower edge of the picture, strongly separated from the Coronation of Mary, shows the processional cross of the Notre-Dame church from the 16th century, which is also classified as a monument historique. Bread can be seen on the left and right.

The two windows of the Annunciation and the Holy Family in the Church of Notre-Dame are also classified as Monument historique. They come from the same workshop.
