history
The company is based in the Klausmayrhof, a typical Upper Austrian square courtyard that has been family-owned since 1762. In the 1960s, the company's founder Manfred Kröswang senior built. In addition to farming, he started a chicken fattening business, and in 1974 he entered the food wholesale business as part of a sales cooperation with Rudolf Ölz . In the 1980s, chicken fattening and slaughtering were completely stopped. The company now concentrated exclusively on wholesaling and expanded the range to include eggs, French fries and the first frozen products such as fish, vegetables and ice cream. KRÖSWANG GmbH was founded in 1984, and Manfred Kröswang has been part of the management since 2002.

The range of the grocery wholesaler includes around 2500 items. KRÖSWANG supplies meat, poultry, fish, fruit, vegetables, salads, delicatessen, convenience products, pastries, bread, pastries and dairy products as well as fats and oils.
