The two hospitals of the Nürnberger Land GmbH hospital belong to the basic and standard care hospitals . Basic medical care is provided in the fields of internal medicine , surgery , gynecology , obstetrics , anesthesiology and intensive medicine, urology , ENT and physical therapy . At the Lauf and Altdorf locations with a total of 327 beds, around 700 employees care for around 33,000 inpatients and outpatients. In addition to basic care, special diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are being expanded to focus on medical subjects.

Hospital Nürnberger Land GmbH has been part of the Nuremberg Clinic since 2006 . The management was initially taken over by the then deputy director of the hospital, Alfred Estelmann. In September 2007 he took over the position of the board of directors of the Nuremberg Clinic, followed by Andreas Becke and Michael Hitzschke as managing directors of the Nürnberger Land GmbH hospital.

The medical technology has been renewed, central parts of the infrastructure such as the laboratory, data processing, pharmacy and laundry are now connected to the Nuremberg Clinic, and a new operating room has been put into operation. Due to the connection to the clinic as a house of the highest level of performance, a smooth treatment of the patient is possible in both houses.

The aim of the Hospitals Nürnberger Land GmbH is to ensure basic and standard care and to expand it to include focal points. So z. B. since 2006 in the Altdorf Hospital in cooperation with the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Nuremberg Clinic, a qualified alcohol withdrawal is offered.
