Very wet! The Tigerenten Club Sommerspiele is a German television entertainment program for children that has been produced and broadcast every summer by SWR and KiKA since 2016 .
broadcast
The program was first broadcast in August 2016 and is a spin-off to the Tigerenten Club .
Twelve children compete in a total of ten episodes per season in an obstacle course that is wet, muddy and foamy. The most important thing is the time that each individual candidate needs per course. The candidate with the fastest time advances one round. At the end of each episode, two candidates play for a place in the next round. The loser in the finals must leave the show and the winner remains in the competition. As a result, the number of participants is decimated from sequence to sequence. After two weeks, the winner of the relay is determined and wins a prize.
In 2019 there was a Best Buddy Edition. For the first time, best friends were able to enter the course as a team. As in previous years, the course of action remained the same.
In July 2020 it was announced that due to the coronavirus pandemic there would be an alternative season, which should be broadcast from August 31, 2020. This season, the candidate pairs will tackle homemade mini-games from home.
procedure
The process has also been the same for the Best Buddy Edition since 2016.
Beginning
After the presenters have started the program and have made the viewers aware that they can appreciate the daily winner and win something in the process, the candidates are brought into the lounge .
Round 1 (qualification)
In the first round, the candidates have to overcome the obstacle course one after the other. The course becomes muddy, wet and foamy. The most important thing about the show is the time each candidate needs. As soon as the candidate has finished the course, the highlights from his round are shown and analyzed by the referee. Because as soon as the candidate makes a mistake, he gets penalty seconds on his time account. The two candidates with the longest time must compete in a final round and the candidates with a shorter time are automatically qualified and compete again in the next broadcast.
Round 2 (final)
In the final round of each episode, two children have to fight on the so-called sling wheel to get into the next show. The candidates have to stand on a turntable, which is wet and slippery, for as long as possible. The loser must leave the show and the winner remains in the competition. At the end of the day, the winner of the day and the winner of the online estimate will be determined.
Moderators
The first season of the show was presented by KIKA presenter Johannes Büchs. In the second season, Büchs was replaced by the Tiger Duck Club moderators Muschda Sherzada and Johannes Zenglein. Together they also moderated the third season of the show in 2018. In the 4th season, Sherzada was replaced by Jess Schöne, who presented the season with Zenglein in 2019. The fifth season will be moderated by Johannes Zenglein alone.
