A scraper floor is used to unload loose loads from a trailer or to feed them within a storage container for further processing. They are mainly used in agricultural engineering .

construction

A scraper floor consists of two chain strands , which are moved by a pocket wheel on the load-bearing side . Carrying bars are attached to two evenly driven chains at regular intervals for transporting the load. Today, scraper floors in newer machines are almost exclusively driven by hydraulic motors, while in the past a mechanical drive via a ratchet system was common.

Depending on the load, two scraper floors are installed next to each other in a vehicle.

use

Scraper floors are used loosely to convey inhomogeneous goods within a container. Common examples are the unloading of loader wagons , manure spreaders , silage wagons and forage wagons . Furthermore, the transport of the mixed TMR of a feed mixer as an alternative to a conveyor belt . They are also used in feeding devices for dosing a silo hose press or a hay blower .
