history

The company was founded by Alfred Krauth 1926 after a US founded -Travel, tram in the first Krauth currency exchange machines schaffner met. He developed and patented the gallop changer and rebuilt his company in Eberbach after the Second World War .

In 1950 the engineer Otto Langkait took over the technical management of sales. Through his inventions, technical drawings and constructions, the product lines could be further developed.

In 1999 the companies Professor Alfred Krauth Apparatebau GmbH & Co.KG , Printon Electronic Drucksysteme GmbH (subsidiary since 1998) and ART Automation and Computer Technology GmbH (subsidiary since 1999) were merged into the Krauth group of companies in order to generate synergy effects through the technical specialties of the companies and at the same time being able to make better use of development potential.

After further developments, such as the ticket machine or the electronic ticket printer , Professor Alfred Krauth Apparatebau GmbH & Co. had to file for bankruptcy in 2008. The subsequent takeover by Otto Nussbaum GmbH & Co. KG and the change of name to Krauth Technology GmbH changed neither the company structure nor the product line, so that the public transport industry is still part of Krauth Technology's customer segment. Since January 7, 2016, Krauth Technology GmbH has had a new owner and is therefore a subsidiary of DuTech Holdings Ltd. based in Shanghai.

In August 2016 Krauth Technology received the order for the production of toll booths and cash terminals for the German toll system from TollCollect GmbH , which is responsible for the introduction of the German truck toll system on federal motorways on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure .

In February 2017, a four-year framework agreement was signed between Krauth Technology and the private rail transport company Abellio GmbH for the delivery of 150 mobile and 200 stationary ticket machines from June 2019.
