Kreßbach is a former village near Tübingen . Today Kreßbach is a country house settlement belonging to the Tübingen district of Weilheim with around 50 villas on the slope of the Steinlachtal below the Kreßbach Castle . The settlement is located south of Tübingen in the northern foothills of the Rammert forest area .

history

The first mention of Kreßbach was around 1100. In the 16th century the village came to the Lords of Ehingen and thus to the rule of Wankheim . With this it later came to the Lords of St. André , who built the Kreßbach Castle here in 1766, which was to become their center of power. The palace garden and a rococo fountain from this period have been preserved. In the 19th century Kreßbach was incorporated into Weilheim and together with him in 1972 in Tübingen.

At the beginning of the 21st century, a nine-hole golf course for the Schloss Kressbach Golf Club was built on the meadows around the castle. In 2011, construction work began on an 18-hole golf course on the plateau between the castle and the corner courtyard .

Kreßbach is served by Stadtverkehr Tübingen in the tariff association naldo as part of the collective call traffic SAM. The SAM line 31 runs through Kreßbach.
