The imland Klinik Rendsburg (formerly Rendsburg District Hospital ) is a hospital in Rendsburg with 18 medical departments. It belongs to the 6K network of Schleswig-Holstein hospitals and is an academic teaching hospital of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel .
Around 2,000 employees work in the Rendsburg district hospital today, taking care of around 45,000 patients per year. The hospital had 777 planned beds in 2016. On the ground floor of the building there is also the Medical Quality Association Rendsburg (MQR), a network of 42 resident doctors who are available to patients outside of normal practice hours for outpatient treatment. There is a helicopter landing pad for Christoph 42 on an outbuilding .

In 1884, the first hospital to supply the population was founded in Rendsburg, which was expanded by several extensions and a newly built hospital barracks until 1939. After the Second World War, eight temporary hospitals were used , which were spread over the city. Former buildings of the Blottnitz barracks were then also used as an auxiliary hospital from 1946 . In order to dissolve the spatial separation of the now two hospitals, further buildings of the barracks began to be converted until the old Rendsburg hospital was finally closed completely in 1952.
1973 began with the construction of the current building of the hospital, which was finally put into operation in 1979. The sponsorship for this hospital then passed in 1983 from the city of Rendsburg to the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde . For marketing reasons, the hospital has adopted a new name, imland GmbH.
Imland GmbH includes the Rendsburg Clinic, the Eckernförde Clinic , the Rendsburg Psychiatric Day Clinic and the Eckernförde Psychiatric Day Clinic. The former senior homes in Eckernförde, Nortorf and Jevenstedt were transferred to the Diakoniewerk Kropp Foundation and the Diakonische Werk Altholstein GmbH in 2016.
