The Kremlhoftheater Villach was located in the forecourt of the cultural center Im Kreml in the Villach district of Perau , Carinthia , Austria . The theater building was a converted hexagonal gazebo with a capacity of six to eight spectators and a stage area of ​​1.30 by 1.30 meters. In 2011, the Kremlin Court Theater was confirmed by Guinness World Records as the smallest theater in the world.

The Kremlhoftheater was run by the Association for Stimulating Dramatic Appetite VADA and the artist collective kärnöl . The opening took place on October 16, 2009 as part of the 5th kärnöl Biennale . With a performance of the play "Never drive underground" on December 31, 2014 the theater was shut down forever.

In-house productions as well as national and international guest performances in the genres of spoken theater , theater for young audiences , scenic readings and ballet were shown . One focus is on the performance of Russian literature , some of which are also in Russian .
