description
The memorial for the fallen in the village was erected in the 1920s. On several steps there is a pillar-like stele , which is decorated with the relief of a curved cloth hanging from above . The memorial was originally provided with a list of the Wahnsdorf soldiers who died in the First World War . After decades, it was so weathered that the names were no longer recognizable. In March 2008, at the instigation of the Wahnsdorfer Heimatverein, three new granite slabs were installed on the property wall behind the memorial - on the left one with the names of 32 fallen soldiers of the First World War, behind and on the right two more memorial plaques with the names of 75 victims of the Second World War from Wahnsdorf .
