The Bad Dürrenberg war memorial is a listed war memorial in the town of Bad Dürrenberg in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 65526 .

The war memorial dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the First World War , consecrated on August 23, 1925, is located on Borlachplatz between the Borlach tower and the graduation tower . It was built for the 151 dead from the communities Keuschberg, Balditz, Porbitz-Poppitz, Lennewitz, Ostrau and Dürrenberg. The center of the war memorial is an obelisk that stands on a small pedestal. The obelisk is decorated with a helmet on a sword decorated with oak leaves , underneath there is an inscription panel with the words Den Helden 1914–1918 . Subsequently, a plaque for the fallen soldiers of the Second World War was attached to the left side of the obelisk , with the inscription to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the Second World War 1939–1945 . On the right-hand side another plaque was attached, the inscription of which reads Fallen in the war, missing, those who died in captivity, those killed by bombs, refugees, displaced persons, resistors, displaced persons, expect “never again”. The names of those who fell in the two world wars are not mentioned on the war memorial. At the corners of the pedestal there is a square stone with a fire bowl and decorated with an iron cross on the two outer sides .
