Bothfeld war memorial

The Bothfeld war memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Bothfeld in the Röcken district of the city of Lützen in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the memorial stone is listed as a monument under registration number 094 14195 .

The Bothfeld war memorial is a stele on a stepped plinth . Four pillars flank the corners of the stele. Above it is a roof-like attachment with a hip. On the front of the monument there is an eagle with outspread wings as a relief . Two memorial plaques have been placed for those who died in the First World War and the Second World War . The plaque on the front contains the inscription FOR HOME AND FATHERLAND DIE IN THE WORLD WAR 1914 - 1918 FROM BOTHFELD YOU HEROES THANKS, as well as the names of the fallen. The second memorial plaque is on the left side of the stele and contains the inscription THE FALLEN AND MISSING OF WORLD WAR 2 FROM BOTHFELD , the names of the fallen are also here.

The war memorial is located on the main street of Bothfeld, right next to the fire station of the volunteer fire department . The monument is bordered by a hedge and a fence.
