Calvörde
their sons who died
for their fatherland
in 1914-1918

history

The memorial in the cemetery was erected for those who fell in the First World War in 1922, the design comes from Professor Lüpke from Braunschweig . The land on which it was built belonged to the political community and was given to the church . The war memorial was handed over to the church by the mayor of the church when it was inaugurated. During restoration work in the 2000s, the names of the fallen were clearly written in gold.
