The Gübs war memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Gübs in the municipality of Biederitz in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed as an architectural monument under registration number 094 71257 .

Design and history

The war memorial is a boulder with a general memorial plaque for the fallen of the two world wars.

The war memorial was originally erected for those who fell in the First World War. The metal plaque with the names of those who fell in World War I was removed after the Second World War and replaced by a general memorial plaque for those who fell in both World Wars. Only after the reunification was the metal plaque found again. Today it is attached to the outside wall of the church.
