The Glane war memorial commemorates the fallen of the First World War in the Glane district of the Lower Saxon city of Bad Iburg .
The memorial for the fallen of World War I from Glane consists of a bell-shaped column with a cross on top and lists of the fallen on all four sides. By listing the dead by name, the war memorial has the character of a cenotaph . Later, plaques with the names of those killed in the Second World War were added to the surrounding walls . The property was placed under monument protection.
The step-shaped base of the monument measures around 300 cm × 370 cm and is 60 cm high. The following inscription is placed in a frame above the front name tag:
They found no grave in consecrated earth
And yet they died blessed!
Because whoever has fallen for the fatherland
has acquired heaven.
Above it is the relief of a steel helmet with an oak and a laurel branch . The cross has the shape of an iron cross with the year 1914, the initial "W" for Wilhelm II and the imperial crown .
On the back of the war memorial is the dedication: Dedicated by the municipality of Glane in 1920.
