War memorial Stoß (Franco-German War)
The war memorial of the Franco-German War is a listed war memorial in the municipality of Stoß in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the memorial is listed as a monument under registration number 094 30009 .
The war memorial of the Franco-German War stands on the market of the municipality. The war memorial is a stele on a multi-tiered base , which was erected in memory of those who fell in the Franco-German War. The plaque on the front contains the inscription Den Heldentod für's Vaterland died. Dedicated by the Stössen Warrior Association as well as the names of those killed in honor of those who remained in the war against France in 1870/71 . In the middle of the stele sits an eagle with flared wings.
In addition to this war memorial there is also the war memorial for the fallen soldiers of the First World War on the market.
