Kristen Dalton (* 1986 in North Carolina ) is an American beauty queen and winner of the Miss USA 2009 election .
Life
Dalton grew up in a family that was very active in the polls. Her mother Jennie was Miss North Carolina USA in 1982 and her younger sister Julia was named Miss North Carolina Teen USA in 2008. Kirsten Dalton grew up with three siblings in Wilmington and attended Hoggard High School there.
She participated in the 2005 Miss North Carolina Teen USA election . In 2006 she became Miss Greater Wilmington . In November 2008 she won the Miss North Carolina USA 2009 pageant in High Point , North Carolina, representing North Carolina in the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas . She also won this competition and became the second Miss North Carolina USA in the history of the event to succeed after Chelsea Cooley . Dalton now represented the United States in the Miss Universe 2009 elections . However, she only made it into the top ten.
At the age of 18 she had an extra role in the television series One Tree Hill .
