Kristian Bak Nielsen (born October 20, 1982 ) is a Danish football player of Polish descent. The defender is under contract with FC Midtjylland in Denmark . He is primarily used in central defense, but used to play as a striker.

Bak Nielsen's career began at FC Midtjylland, with whom he won the second Danish league in 2000 and rose to the Superliga . In the 2003/04 season he played all games for the club and was nominated in October 2003 for the Danish U-21 national team . In the game against the U-21 team from Bosnia-Herzegovina , he came to his only use when he came on for Thomas Kahlenberg .

In June 2007 he signed a four-year contract with the Dutch team SC Heerenveen . In summer 2010 he moved back to FC Midtjylland.
