Kristiina Rove (born June 15, 1990 in Espoo ) is a Finnish ski racer . She specializes in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom .

Career

Rove competed in FIS races from December 2005 and celebrated her first victory a month later. As a result, she started almost exclusively in races in Scandinavia . First starts in the European Cup followed in November 2007. It is not regularly used in this racing series to this day and it has never won points in any race, so it has never been placed in the top 30. It had little success at the Junior World Championships , where she participated from 2008 to 2010. While she did not finish in any race in 2008 , she achieved her best result in 2009 with 18th place in the giant slalom. In 2010 she finished only 30th in the Super-G.

Rove had her first appearance in the World Cup on November 15, 2008; at the slalom in Levi , however, she retired in the first run. Almost exactly a year later, on November 14th, 2009, she scored World Cup points for the first time in her second race when she surprisingly finished the slalom with the high start number 77 in 29th place in Levi. In other isolated World Cup starts, a second point win has not yet been achieved.
