Kristin Ross
Kristin Ross (born 1953 ) is an American romance scholar .
Life
Kristin Ross studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz , where she received a BA (1975) and an MA (1977). She received her PhD from Yale University in 1981. She is Professor of Comparative Literature at New York University .
Ross was a Guggenheim Fellow and Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey .
She placed her study of the historical aftermath of the Paris Commune (2015) under the slogan of the commune des luxe communal .
Her books have also been translated into French.
