Kristjan Fajt (born May 7, 1982 ) is a Slovenian racing cyclist .

Kristjan Fajt began his international career in 2004 with the Italian cycling team Tenax . In 2006 and 2007 he drove for the Slovenian Continental Team Radenska Powerbar . During this time he became the national time trial champion in 2006 and won the Grand Prix Kooperativa . In 2008 Fajt won a stage each of The Paths of King Nikola and the Tour of Qinghai Lake for Perutnina Ptuj . In 2009 he switched to Adria Mobil . He won Ljubljana-Zagreb in 2011 and the first race of the Tour of Vojvodina in 2012 .

In April 2016, the Union Cycliste Internationale announced that a doping sample tested positive for erythropoietin on March 10th after the prologue of the Istrian Spring Trophy . In October 2016, Fajt was banned until January 10, 2020 due to this doping incident.
