Kristoffer Zetterstrand

Kristoffer Zetterstrand (born September 27, 1973 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish artist. He studied at the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm and the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Madrid . He works in a classic way, but his works are often influenced by art history, pixelated computer graphics and 3D worlds. His debut exhibition in 2002 consisted of images based on the first-person shooter Counter-Strike . His pictures are often based on virtual still lifes and scenographies modeled with 3D software . He is represented by the Peter Bergman Gallery in Stockholm. In 2008 he received the IASPIS Artist in Residence Prize. Some of his pictures are in the computer game Minecraft , because his sister Elin was married to Markus Persson , the inventor and former main developer of the game.
