The Coast Guard of the Republic of Croatia ( Croatian Obalna straža Republike Hrvatske ) is the coast guard of the Republic of Croatia and part of the Croatian Navy .

General

The tasks of the coast guard as demarcation to the navy are civil in nature. These include marine protection ( MARPOL et al.), Fisheries control, control of the safety of tankers and ballast water control, counter-terrorism, illegal migration, countering drug smuggling and customs duties.

In the sea ​​area off Croatia , which is popular with private yacht owners, the coast guard is alerted in the event of an emergency. In the third campaign around Zadar alone , 79 ships and boats and their crews were checked in Split .
