Naval war flag
As Seekriegsflagge will flag those issued by warships as national flag is hoisted. However, the name does not mean that the nation is at war, but that its use is reserved for the military. Other names are war flag at sea , military flag at sea , naval ensign or Marine flag .
In addition to the trade flag , it is one of the original versions of the national flag. In addition to the war flag, military ships usually also carry a jack in port . Their design is often derived from the war flag, but can be simplified or have a different aspect ratio.
Germany
The warships of the German Navy and permanently manned signal points carry the service flag of the naval forces , which corresponds to a federal service flag designed as a double- stand . The civilian manned auxiliary ships and land agencies of the Navy fly the federal service flag. A scaled-down version of the flag is used as a jack.
