history

The company was founded by Max Kroenert, who had previously been a master mechanical engineer at the Hansa Iven wallpaper factory, in 1903 in Altona adElbe . The aim was initially to manufacture high-performance wallpaper printing machines. The engineer Hans-Jens Meyer joined the company in 1904 and became a partner and managing director in 1912. In 1943 the company buildings were largely destroyed by air raids and could only be completely rebuilt after the war. After the First World War , Meyer took over most of the company's ownership, as Kroenert withdrew from the business due to the poor economic situation. In the 1950s and 60s the company developed into a provider of individually designed laminating machines. 1995 Drytec GmbH & Co KG is founded. Since 2002 the group has been run under the umbrella of a holding company (Altonaer Technologie Holding GmbH, ATH). In the same year the group also acquired the competitor Bachofen + Meier AG from Jagenberg AG .

Products

The lamination and coating systems are offered in three product groups: The RECO series stands for systems with a drying tunnel , the PAK series does not require a drying tunnel . In addition, the LabCo series for laboratory and pilot applications as well as small series was launched on the market in 2009 . At the end of 2012, with the MCO 5000, the concept of a modular, modularly expandable production facility was implemented.

Many everyday products are manufactured on Kroenert systems: Flexible packaging such as food and pharmaceutical packaging; technical products such as self- adhesive labels , adhesive tapes, protective films , markers and correction tapes, as well as new applications such as lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells , flexible solar cells, printed electronics and composite materials . In the company's own technology center in Hamburg there are several production facilities and a laboratory facility on which experiments and test runs can be carried out under real conditions.
