matchfield

Kronum is played in two teams of 10 players each. Four of them are goalkeepers during the defensive phases. During the offensive phases they are field players like their teammates.

The game lasts 60 minutes, divided into three thirds. The aim of the game is to get more points than your opponent. The number of points differs from where the successful shot / throw etc. starts (like in basketball). The Kronum gates have 5 rings at the top with a diameter of 50 centimeters. If a player hits through one of the rings, the number of points doubles. The playing field is circular with a ring in the middle. There are also four gates (so-called chambers).

The outermost zone is the cross zone . If you hit from here you get 4 points, if you hit through the ring you get 8 points (this is called the kronum). The next zone is the flex zone . If you hit from there you get 3 points (6 through one of the rings). In the zone next to the goal ( wedge zone ), contrary to the rest of the field, you are not allowed to play the ball with your hand. If you hit from the wedge zone , you get 2 points (4 from ring). In the zone next to the goal ( goal zone ), you get one point for a hit (2 through the ring).

Both teams play alternately in defensive and offensive phases. After a point has been scored, the game is opened by throwing the ball back into the ring.
