Kuckhof is a residential area in the Allerheiligen district in the Rosellen district of the city of Neuss in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

In the south, Kuckhof is surrounded by fields, after which the Dormagen district of Nievenheim follows. In the north or north-east of Kuckhof, the industrial area or local supply center of Allerheiligen is connected.

history

The estate and with it the village of Kuckhof was first mentioned as Kuckinghove in 1050 . Later the St. Georg Abbey in Cologne bought the farm. Politically, the place belonged to the Amt Hülchrath in the Electorate of Cologne until 1794 . With the invasion of the French troops, Kuckhof came to the Commune Rosellen in the Mairie Norf . After the Congress of Vienna, the Rhineland came to the Kingdom of Prussia . Kuckhof became part of the community of Rosellen in the mayor's office of Norf. In 1927 this was renamed to Amt Norf. Since January 1st, 1975, Kuckhof has been part of the city of Neuss . Kuckhof belongs to the district of Allerheiligen or the district of Rosellen. At the moment there is a development plan draft which should identify two more large building areas for All Saints (All Saints D1 and D2 aka Kuckhof West and East) in the southern area.

economy

Agriculture

Kuckhof was shaped by several large farms:

  • Kuckhof : First mentioned in 1050 as Kuckinghove . Later owned by St. Georg Abbey in Cologne . Nationalized by the French state during the period of secularization, it came into the possession of the siblings Konrad and Maria Scheben from Rosellen in 1807. Presumably the courtyard was replaced by a new building in 1883. It consisted of a closed, square brick courtyard. A few years ago the buildings were converted into condominiums.
  • Fronhof: A former farm on the Alter Bach.
  • Illinghausen: Also located on the Alter Bach. The farm was formerly owned by the Neuss Quirinus pen. It is a closed courtyard with a house from the 18th century . This courtyard is owned by the Neuss city administration.
