Kuhl un de Gäng is a band from Cologne . With her dialect music she is active in carnival , among other things .

Band history

The band was founded in 2012 by drummer Manuel Pickartz and the then singer Michael Kuhl. It consisted of nine musicians when it was founded. In addition to the two founders, Anselm Fritzsche ( keyboard ), Michael Dahmen ( electric bass ), Tobias Hebbelmann (keyboard), Yannick Richter ( guitar ), Mathis Petermann ( trumpet ), David Brück ( saxophone ) and Michael Thelen ( Trumpet ).

Kuhl un de Gäng played their first appearance on June 10, 2012 at the Deepejasser Kirmes in Cologne. Here the first single Su was presented for the first time. That year the band also received their first award. They won the Loss Mer Sing live casting and received the audience award of the event.

After a record deal (2013-2016) was signed with Ariola Colonia in 2013 , the band released the singles Ich han dich jään and Fastelovend am Rhing .

In the summer of 2014 five musicians left the band and the current band members Hubert Pieper and Heinrich Fries joined them. With this line-up, the band released one of their most successful tracks shortly afterwards, Ich han dä Millowitsch jesinn .

In 2015 the singles Raderdoll and Die schönste Mädcher han mir followed . The band played for the first time at the Festival Colonia Olé and performed there again in 2016. In 2016, further important appearances followed with the country festival on the evening before the Day of German Unity in Dresden and the first unplugged concert in the Millowitsch Theater .

In 2017 Michael Kuhl left the band and guitarist Hubert Pieper took over the position of lead singer . With his new songs the band played again at the Landesfest in Mainz and for the first time at the Jeck Festival in Sunnesching .

On September 15, 2018, Kuhl un de Gäng released their debut album "Gängland" on the Hey! Band record label.
