Kulti ( Bengali : কুলটি) was a city in the Indian state of West Bengal with around 314,000 inhabitants (2011 census). The city has been part of the Asansol Municipal Corporation since 2015 .
Kulti is an industrial site and in 1904 it was the first city in India to produce steel .

Literacy is thus far above the national average and that of West Bengal.
