Order of Merit of Culture (Monaco)

Order of Cultural Merit

The Order of Culture Merit was on December 31, 1952 by Prince Rainier III. Donated by Monaco and can be awarded to anyone who has made a contribution to the arts, literature and science or who have contributed to the cultural fame of the principality .

Classes

The medal consists of three classes and can only be awarded at the age of 40.

Order decoration

The religious character is one of a laurel wreath enclosed and a crown worn medal . It shows on the front the mirror monogram of the donor R (Rainier) with the inscription PRINCIPAUTE DE MONACO 1952 and on the back the inscription ARTS - LETTRES - SCIENCES  (Art - Literature - Science).

Carrying method

Commanders wear the medal as neck medals , officers and knights on a ribbon on their left chest. Officers also have a rosette on the ribbon .

The ribbon is red with a central stripe of white rhombuses .
