The Kuma Kogen Observatory ( Japanese 万 高原 天体 観 測 館 , Kumakōgen tentai kansokukan , English Kuma Kogen Astronomical Observatory ) is an observatory in the small town of Kumakōgen in Ehime Prefecture , Japan. It is part of the Kumakōgen Furusato Ryokōmura ( 久 万 高原 ふ る さ と 旅行 村 , German "home and excursion village Kumakōgen"), to which the wooden castle Seiten-jō ( 星 天 城 , literally: "Starry Sky Castle ") belongs.

A planetarium with 40 seats is connected to the observatory, where there are 30-minute performances during the day.

The main instrument is a Newtonian telescope with a 60 cm aperture and 2.7 m focal length . The most famous employee of the observatory is Akimasa Nakamura .
