Jacques de Brion

Jacques de Brion Baron de Lux (* 1667 ; † April 24, 1728 in Memel ) was a Prussian major general and chief of the garrison regiment No. 1 . He was the owner of the Götzhöfen (Brionischken) estate in Lithuania from August 1, 1721 .

Life

He was one of the French refugees who came to Brandenburg in 1686 after the edict of Nantes was repealed . He then joined the Brandenburg war service when he was young. As early as 1688 he was a lieutenant in the "Varenne" regiment. On June 27, 1691 he became a captain in the "Alt-Dönhof" No. 2 infantry regiment , in April 1704 he became a major , on June 10, 1710, a lieutenant colonel and on January 16, 1711, a colonel . In 1714 he took over the garrison regiment No. 1. On May 30, 1718 he was promoted to major general and on January 1, 1722 he was appointed in command of the fortress of Memel. He died there in April 1728.

His first wife was Charlotte Rose de la Force (1650-1724). Her father was the Maréchal de camp Franz de Caumont Marquis de Castelmoron. The marriage was divorced after ten days.

In Brandenburg he married Charlotte Florentine von Dobrizikowsky and Malijowa († March 13, 1767) from the Blumerode house ( Neumarkt in Silesia ). She was the widow of Major von Rummel. His brother Jakob de Brion († 1718) was married to Benigna Dobrizikowsky. From the marriage of Karl de Brion marriage:
