Cumulative double bonds
In the case of cumulative double bonds , two double bonds are adjacent, starting from the same carbon atom. Simple compounds with accumulated double bonds are e.g. B. Propadiene (allene), H 2 C = C = CH 2 , carbon dioxide , O = C = O and ketene [H 2 C = C = O]. The central carbon atom between two cumulated double bonds is sp-hybridized , the connections are therefore linear in structure.
In addition to cumulative double bonds, there are also isolated double bonds and conjugated double bonds .
