Kungshamns IF was founded in 1919 under the name Gravarne IF , but the association only joined the Riksidrottsförbundet two years later and the Svenska Fotbollförbundet seven years later . While the club formed a sports community with local rivals Smögens IF between 1927 and 1930 , it changed its name to Kungshamns IF in 1929 .

Soccer

The soccer team of Kungshamns IF initially competed in the lower class league area. In 1936 she rose to the third class for the first time. There they established themselves over long stretches with individual seasons in the fourth division during the 1940s. After a league reform in the summer of 1947, the club was relegated to fourth division, and it was not until 1958 that they returned with a hundred goals this season in 27 games this season.
