Numerous sculptures and objects can be seen in the community of Langenargen .

Fountain figure by Fidelis Bentele

The figure on the fishing fountain at the town hall was designed by Fidelis Bentele and is reminiscent of the local fishing tradition. The fountain basin was designed by the architect Eugen Hillebrand. The fountain was erected in 1978.

Portrait bust Purrmann by Wieland Förster

Portrait bust of Hans Purrmann

Wieland Förster created the portrait bust of Hans Purrmann , which is reminiscent of the late impressionist Purrmann and draws attention to the museum in the former parsonage, in which numerous works by Purrmann can be seen.

Sculptures by Waldemar Grzimek

  • The crouching swimmer is located in the palace gardens of Schloss Montfort . The larger-than-life bronze sculpture by Waldemar Grzimek is on permanent loan to the municipality of Langenargen.
  • The bronze picture Im Boot has also been on view in the palace gardens of Schloss Montfort since 1983 .

Foucault
  • On the lake shore near the harbor since 1995 is the work of Foucault of Leonhard Lorenz . It has a movable pendulum, which is supposed to symbolize the mobility of the human mind, and adapts to its surroundings with its boat or sail shape.


Sculptures by Roland Martin

The Dammglonker
  • Since 1989, the stands constable of Roland Martin in front of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit and in the place used to be the at the constable actually announced the news. The work of art is reminiscent of the last Langenargener Büttel, the Schelle-Wengert . Georg Wengert held the position of Büttels until the 1960s.
  • The Dammglonker has been leaning against the wall of the Gondelhafen, the last port of Lake Constance that is still in the form it was used around 1900, since 2006 . Dammglonker were servants who had to load the salt and grain loaders ; glonken is a very leisurely way of getting around .


Sculpture by Esther Seidel

Within a moment ...
  • In 2000, Esther Seidel created the picture Within a Moment ... from bronze with a colored patina. It stands on a stone plinth on the lake side of the cavalier house . A staircase is integrated into the base, which is intended to encourage the viewer to climb onto the base and change their own perspective on Langenargen.

Mirko Siakkou-Flodin and others: Langenargen yesterday and today

In 2008 Mirko Siakkou-Flodin designed a steel ball together with students from the Franz-Anton-Maulbertsch-Schule, which shows pictures from the history of the place. The work of art can be seen in front of the gymnasium and festival hall and bears the name Langenargen yesterday and today.

Münzhof sculpture by Waltraud Späth

The Münzhof sculpture by Waltraud Späth made of granite, steel and bronze stands on the Münzhof forecourt and reminds of the time when coins were still minted here. The work of art from 1992 takes up the biblical motif of the Nadelör and wants to illustrate the difficulty of combining opposites such as rich and poor, good and bad, etc.

Patrick Steiner created a natural stone fountain in the Gräbenen V building area in 1999 .

Poison dart frog by Annette Weber

Annette Weber's tree-climber frog Patty is made of colorful ceramic on a bench on the Lake Constance hiking trail . This frog is one of a series of drinking water sculptures that were set up around Lake Constance under the patronage of Annette Schavan . The Langenargen sculpture was the first work in this series.
