The Art Museum Appenzell (formerly Museum Liner Appenzell ) is a museum in Appenzell , which is dedicated to the memory of the two Appenzell painters Carl August Liner and his son Carl Walter Liner . In special exhibitions it shows works by these two artists and art from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Art Museum Appenzell is next to the Kunsthalle Ziegelhütte in Appenzell the second house of Heinrich Gebert Cultural Foundation Appenzell.

The museum architecture was designed by the Zurich architects Gigon / Guyer . It was planned from 1996, executed between 1997 and 1998 and opened in September 1998. The client was the Foundation Museum Carl Liner Father and Son, today's Heinrich Gebert Kulturstiftung Appenzell.
