The Kunstraum München is an art association and exhibition space for contemporary art in the Glockenbachviertel in Munich .

It was founded in 1973 as a non-profit art association for the exhibition and documentation of contemporary art . It emerged from the association "Friends of Fine Arts" founded in 1926. Today the art space has around 300 members. The voluntary board of directors is responsible for the conception and organizational implementation of the program.

The association sees itself as a platform for young contemporary art. The focus is on the exhibition of works by international and regional artists and the publication of accompanying catalogs and editions.

The exhibitions are alternately supervised by the various board members, around five exhibitions take place each year.
