Kunz (Konrad) von Thunfeld was a supporter of the preacher Hans Böhm and captain of a farm in 1476.

Kunz von Thunfeld came from the noble family of Thüngfeld . He was owed to the bishop of Würzburg . In 1476 he and his son Michael had connections with the preacher Hans Böhm. This denounced the supremacy of the nobles and the church and announced the coming of a kingdom of God . Böhm soon gained great popularity among the lower classes. When he called for an armed uprising, the bishop of Würzburg had him kidnapped to Würzburg. Thereupon several thousand farmers gathered in Niklashausen on July 13th and, under the leadership of Kunz von Thunfeld and his son, moved in front of the Würzburg Castle. There Konrad von Hutten managed to get the majority of the farmers withdrawn. The bishop's gunmen attacked the peasants on the way back. Kunz von Thunfeld fled outside the country. At the request of his relatives he was taken back by the bishop, but had to leave his property to the diocese.
