Kupol ( Russian КУПОЛ ) or IEMZ “Kupol” , with its full name Ischewski Elektromechanitscheski Sawod “Kupol” ( Russian Ижевский электромеханический завод “Купол” , Ischewsker Elektroechanisches Werk [1] is one of the largest Russian armaments manufacturers with headquarters in Ischewsker Ischewsker Ischewsker Ischewsker Ischewsker .
History and products
The company was founded on June 20, 1957 and in 1958 reached the first stage of expansion. The first order was to manufacture components for the Kaliningrad K-5 air-to-air guided missile . In 1961 the production of the computer system for the anti-aircraft missile complex 2K11 Krug , the remote control for the 3M8 missiles of this system and the electronic components for target recognition and guidance of the anti-aircraft missile system 2K12 Kub began . From 1966 to 1988, Kupol was the main producer of the launch and control station for the 9K33 Osa anti-aircraft missile system . Kupol has been manufacturing the 9K330 Tor air defense system since 1979 . The plant also repairs and modernizes the Osa and Tor systems.
In 2002, Kupol was included as a subsidiary in the armaments group Almas-Antei .
