The Kurfürstenquelle is located in Duisdorf Oberdorf in Bonn . Above the actual spring there is a well house , which is also called the Elector Fountain . It is a low, elongated building with black tiles. The spring once served the water supply of the Roman legionary camp and, later, of the Cologne-electoral palaces in Bonn. It feeds the Dichbach . To illustrate the connection between the inconspicuous fountain house, in the front of which the electoral coat of arms made of sandstone is incorporated, and the source of the Dichbach, it was led into a trough-like stone frame on the opposite side of the street and the small square was provided with wooden benches for resting.
The fountain stands as a monument under monument protection .
