Kurious (born May 1 ; real name Jorge Alvarez ), also known as Kurious Jorge , is a rapper from New York .

biography

Kurious is of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent and grew up in the Spanish Harlem district . His debut was in 1991 when he took part in Rebel & Johnny Jay's song "Powerule" from Interscope Records ' "Young Stars From Nowhere, Vol. 1". His voice could later be heard on productions by Pete Nice and on the album by Daddy Rich . This duo also helped Kurious negotiate a deal with Sony Music . In 1993 Kurious released his first hit "Walk Like A Duck". In 1994 the debut album A Constipated Monkey was released which contains hits like "I'm Kurious" and "Uptown Sh_t". Among the producers were also the duo The Beatnuts .

There followed a hiatus from publishing in which Kurious organized classes for children in the Bronx . In 1999, it finally returned on MF DOOM 's album Operation: Doomsday on the underground track "?" At the moment he is musically active in the group Monsta Island Czars together with MF Grimm under the pseudonym "Biolante".

In 2007 the label Amalgam Digital Kurious signed and released a new edition of "A Constipated Monkey" with some new bonus tracks. The second album "II" was released in June 2009.
