Akira Kuroda

Akira Kuroda ( Japanese 黒 田 晶 , Kuroda Akira ; born December 22, 1977 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese writer.

Life

Akira Kuroda was born in Chiba Prefecture and first studied art at Meiji Gakuin University and then moved to the University of Brighton. In 2000, her debut You Love Us , the title of which was later changed to Made in Japan ( メ イ ド イ ン ジ ャ パ ン ), appeared in Bungei magazine ( 文藝 賞 ) and was awarded the Bungei Prize ( 文藝 賞 ). Her second novel, Sekai ga hajimaru asa ( 世界 が は じ ま る 朝 ), was nominated for the 16th Mishima Prize .
