Kurt Ballerstedt
Kurt Ballerstedt (born December 24, 1905 in Hohensalza ; † October 25, 1977 in Bonn ) was a German lawyer.
Ballerstedt studied law at the universities of Breslau, Halle, Freiburg im Breisgau and Königsberg and received his doctorate in 1938 from the University of Königsberg . In 1946 he became a private lecturer at the University of Kiel and completed his habilitation in 1947 at the University of Heidelberg . He became a full professor at Kiel University in 1949 and moved to Bonn in 1955 , where he retired in 1971.
Ballerstedt played a large part in the development of pre-contractual liability in the BGB through his work on liability for culpa in contrahendo at the end of business through deputies .
