Kurt Bindernagel (born June 30, 1930 ) was a football player in the GDR upper league . In the top division of the GDR football association , he played for SC progress Weissenfels .

When SC Progress Weißenfels rose to the GDR league after the 1954/55 season, Bindernagel was one of the youngest players in the promoted team at the age of 25. He had played most of the 26 point and four promotion games as a left defender. When a transition round was carried out in the fall of 1955 to align with the calendar year schedule valid from 1956, SC progress was already playing in the top league, and Bindernagel played 12 of the 13 games played in his regular position. In his first regular league season in 1956, Bindernagel had several dropouts, so that he was only able to play 16 games out of 26 games. However, his new coach Herbert Worbs stuck to him as a left-back. In the 1957 season, Bindernagel could only play two league point games and lost his position in defense to Harry Wiesemann . At the age of 28, Bindernagel completed his last league season in 1958. He was only a substitute player, in his five league appearances he only came into the team twice over 90 minutes. Bindernagel played his last league game on August 10, 1958. In the encounter on the 14th day of the match between SC progress Weissenfels and SC activist Brieske-Senftenberg (0-2), he played again for 90 minutes in his regular position.
