Kurt Blankenhagel

Kurt Blankenhagel (born May 27, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1990 to 1999 .

Life

Kurt Blankenhagel studied mechanical engineering and worked as an engineer in industry. In the 1980s he worked at VEB Elektrokohle Lichtenberg . He moved to Prenzlauer Berg in 1972 .

He witnessed the events surrounding the Gethsemane Church first hand. Via this he found his way to the SDP . On May 30, 1990, he was appointed to the Schwierzina magistrate as a councilor for labor and companies. In the 1990 elections to the House of Representatives , he won constituency 1 on Prenzlauer Berg (Falkplatz and Arnimplatz) directly, and five years later he moved in via the district list. He decided not to run again in 1999.

Private

Kurt Blankenhagel is divorced, has a son and two grandchildren.
